Camp Write Along was a huge success and hopefully the students came away with some positive thoughts about writing. The writing, smore-making, award-creating, and the songs provided a different approach to review for this week because...
It's Here! The STAAR Writing takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday and we will have one final review and "pep rally" tomorrow. Please send your "good luck" message in the envelope that came home last week Monday morning if you haven't already.
With the test being the main focus of our week, there will be no spelling nor social studies this week. We will have vocabulary ("ir-" and "im-" prefixes), science (volcanoes!), some fun math activities, a little bit of poetry, and some reading passages to help prepare for STAAR Reading. Then next week, we will begin a serious focus on reading and math as the STAAR tests in those subjects approach in late April.
This Saturday evening (5:00) Roberts will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary with an Open House. Light refreshments, the classic movie The Wizard of Oz, and school tour will take place. Please try to join us.
Wish us luck this week and keep positive thoughts coming our way!
