Benchmark Writing has been completed and students have been conferenced with and are aware of what they need to do to improve their Personal Narrative and Expository. Number one focal point is to make sure to address the prompt. We will begin daily revising and editing practice in order to strengthen those skills as well.

This week will be the Reading Benchmark on Monday and Math Benchmark on Tuesday. These scores will be used to determine areas to focus on until the STAAR tests. There will be a heavy emphasis on reading, math, and writing for the next several weeks as we head into "testing season."

Our class is shrinking! During February, we lost Yumin, Nadiya, and Maya to new schools; however, we did welcome Noor. We are down to 17 students.

The Austin Field Trip is coming up very soon and we will be sending information home with specifics very soon.
