Hi Parents,

This week's happenings:

*Writing-final draft of Expository prompt "Friendship" will be completed

*Reading-continue Cause and Effect examples, along with Book Clubs

*Math-Multiplication Wrestling (preparing students for double digit multiplication and understanding the process). Beginning in January, we will do 0ne-minute multiplication quizzes twice a month in effort to improve automaticity of facts. Students will be plotting scores on a graph in order to chart progress.

Science-concluding Matter

Social Studies-completion of Explorers projects, including the final copy of their research papers and sharing their knowledge via Photostory. Much time will be devoted to these assignments this week. We will finish notefact finding for part 3 (the explorers contribution/lasting impact) organizing and assembling the parts, then using our Expository writing skills to produce the final product.

The holiday party will be Friday afternoon; time yet to be determined since our ancillary time is 1:25-2:10. Look for additional information in the Tuesday folder.

Have a safe and happy holiday season as we head to a well-deserved break!
